The Chorus will perform at 5.00 on September 10th in the Festival Marquee.
We will be performing 5 or 6 choruses from well known operas. There will be several rehearsals taking place beforehand. These will be on:
Monday 1st August
Friday 12th August
Thursday 18th August
Weds 24th August
Thursday 1st September
Wednesday 7th September
Rehearsals will be at St Mary's Church starting at 7.30pm.
We will be singing choruses by Purcell, Handel, Mozart, Mascagni, Verdi and Donizetti – including the famous Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves. The Chorus is open to all and if you have friends from outside the village who like to sing do feel free to bring them along as well.
This is a chance to sing on stage in front of an audience and if you have never done this before you must try it. Singing and performing give you such a joy in life. For those who have never done this before it will be the high point of 2011 so come and join us.
