The Village show is to be held on Monday August 29th 2011 on the Playing Fields.

The Village Show marquee will be available for hire on the evening of Friday, 26th and Saturday 27th August if anyone wants to hold a party, dance or any other type of event. Hire charge is £100 (negotiable depending upon the function). Anyone interested should contact John Wilber on 07775901401.

The Show itself takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, 29th August and is to be opened by the May Queen, Miss Grace Beecham, at 1.00 pm. A full programme of events is planned including displays by the Stannage International Stunt Team and Shirley Pipers and, weather permitting, we hope to have a low-level flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Spitfire at about 3.20pm. A special attraction this year will be the Water Ball Ride similar to shown here, http://waterswalkers.com/  There will also be the usual large selection of sideshows and stalls together with the beautiful exhibits from the Horticultural Show.

The organisers are making a special request this year for everyone to pick up any rubbish and put it in the bins provided and also to clean up after their dogs.
